Identifying Characteristics of Burrowers

Nymphs
1) Forked gills along the abdomen which are fringed ( covered with small hairs)
2) Large mandibles (mouth parts) that form tusks

Adults
1) Veins MP1, MP2 and CuA strongly diverge from the base of the fore wing
2) Very large mayfly with large wings
