Identifying Characteristics of Swimmers
Nymphs
1) Round and streamlined body.
2) Tails are fringed with fine hair.
3) Oval gills are positioned on the side of the abdomen.
Adults
1) Small body size.
2) Base of veins MP2 and CuA do not diverge from the base of MP1.
3) Two or three tails are present.
