Rediscovering the Rambling River – The Genesee

Some 60 years after a Democrat and Chronicle reporter Arch Merrill traveled the length of the Genesee River, Jeff Blackwell and Max Schulte hit the road to explore the rambling river and the people connected to it.
Jeff and Max were our guest speakers at the May meeting. They brought their experience of the mighty Genesee to chapter members first-hand by sharing intimate stories and elaborating on them with chapter members. Chapter Picnic – Join Us

Pack the picnic basket and oil the lawn chair. The 2010 Chapter Picnic is scheduled at we hope you can make it and enjoy some fine food and good laughs. So pull up a seat at the bench and a cooler to the side in Black Creek Park at the Pathfinder shelter, June 16th. Grills will be fired up at 6:00 and dinner served at 7:00

National Stream Clean-Up Day

TU volunteers gathered at Oatka Creek Park to participate in the second annual national stream clean-up days. Saturday, April 17 was the first of two clean-up days the second being Saturday, June 26, 2010. Volunteers from around the country joined together on local rivers and streams, planted trees, removed trash and worked together to continue their dedication to protecting and conserving coldwater fisheries.
